Bali has become a top destination for travelers. Here’s a guide to my favorite places, co-working spots, and surfing across the island of the gods.
Canggu: The Surf and Coworking Hub
Canggu is easily one of my favorite areas in Bali. It has everything a digital nomad could dream of: a mix of beach life, surf breaks, and a vibrant co-working scene.
With spots like Batu Bolong, Canggu is great for beginner surfers / longboarding. After a morning surf session, you can head to a co-working space e.g. Zin Cafe, which lets you order food through an app right to your desk.
Ubud: A Quiet Workspace in Nature
Ubud is a great spot for those seeking tranquility and spiritualityy. The co-working spaces here, like Outpost Ubud, offer a serene backdrop of nature, allowing for focus and creativity to flow.
Though Ubud isn’t a surf town, it’s a great place to recharge after a few days in the water.
East/North Bali: Snorkel / Scuba Diving Escape
Amed, located on Bali’s northeast coast, has activities like scuba diving (USAT Liberty Shipwreck), free diving, and spear-fishing.
If you’re looking to snorkel I’d recommend Padang Bai.
Conclusion
Bali offers a unique combination of productive co-working environments and world-class surf spots (Kuta, Uluwatu, Sanur, Airport Left), making it an ideal destination for both work and play.
It’s also easy to get out as DPS has direct connections to many cities like Bangkok, Singapore, Seoul, Dubai and Instanbul.
