In this post, I’ll share my experience with video games 👾 and how I balance gaming with other aspects of my life. Gaming has been a constant in my life, though nowadays, I try to avoid time-sink games. Still, it’s great for a quick dopamine hit.
My Current Games and Devices
Lately, I’ve been playing Streets of Rage 4 on my iPhone and iPad using an Xbox controller. I also enjoy playing Cell to Singularity on my iPhone, where I’m in the Alpha Centauri level.
2024-2025
In 2024, I dove deep into AC Odyssey. I love Ancient Greek history, but once I reached Elysium, I decided to sell my console. The next game I plan to play is GTA 6 (2025).
My Gaming Past
My gaming journey looks something like this:
- AOE II: A classic that sparked my love for strategy games.
- Counter-Strike 1.6: AWP.
- Diablo 4: RPG.
- Dota: A game I sank 1000+ hours into 🤣.
- PUBG: Battle royale game.
Gaming for Stress Relief
It’s interesting to note that even someone as busy as Elon Musk turns to gaming (e.g. Polytopia and Diablo 4) as a way to unwind.
Finding Balance
Gaming is still a part of my life, but I’ve learned to manage it better now. I still have to be careful not to sink e.g. 3 hours into Polytopia 😹. Thanks for reading!
